WPA Series wideband pyramid-shaped absorber is a ferrite core having a complex pyramid-shaped profile with a height of 80 mm and with geometrical setting dimensions of 100 mm x 100 mm. Wideband pyramid-shaped WPA series absorbers are used in combination with FAT series ferrite plates of П100*100*6,3 type for making echo-less chambers and are characterized by high noise suppression in frequency range from 30 MHz to 18 GHz.
In practice, in using as casing elements for surfaces of echo-less chambers, WPA series pyramid-shaped ferrite absorbers are installed on special clips of FAT100 series ferrite plates that are fixed on metallic or plywood sheets by 6 pcs x 6 pcs or 8 pcs x 8 pcs.
Advantages of making echo-less chambers based on combination of WPA pyramid-shaped ferrite cores and FAT 100 plate are:
- best absorbance in comparison with other types of absorbing materials (for example, polymer absorbers)
- significant space saving (size of 100 mm/100 mm/80 mm, weight of 0.8 kg) as compared with polymer materials, what provides a possibility to make small size echo-less chambers (3 m x 3 m x 3 m or less)
- lengthy life time given from high stability of ferrite’s electromagnetic absorbing properties
- incombustibility and its associated fire safety of echo-less chamber’s room
