PQ-configured ferrite cores of TDK-EPC are a further advancement of E-shaped core series. An advantage of using PQ series ferrite cores as compared with cores of ETD/ER/E series is a possibility to reduce size and weight of wrap-in product with similar power.
Decrease a length of winding wire being necessary for a manufacture of transformers (as compared with configurations listed above) contributes to a cost reduction of finished product.
