In march 2017 Magnetics company added a new material Kool Mμ® MAX to the powder cores row. A new series is an improved version of Kool Mμ®. Kool Mμ® MAX toroids are being produced of Fe, Si, Al-based alloy. These cores are characterized by better permeability stability, low losses and 50% more DC bias for better power handling.

Moreover, Kool Mμ MAX reduces copper cost by reducing turns needed to maintain inductance, minimizes temperature rise, and maximizes inductor output.With Kool Mμ MAX one can improve inductor efficiency at a fraction of the cost of High Flux.

Kool Mμ® MAX cores are produced in the form of toroid with permeability 19, 26, 40 and 60 and dimensions R13.5 .. R134 (after dielectric coating formation). The coating color is black.
