Iron powder rings

iron powderAt present time, rings being produced on the base of iron powder are applied in maufacturing of inductors and transformers widely used in switched mode power supply and apparatus operating in High-Frequency band. Most of companies developing modern soft ferrites include iron powder cores in their nomenclature due to low production cost, high saturation induction and ability to operate in terms of hard exploition. For instance,Ferroxcube manufactures ring cores on the base of iron powder material (2P).

2P iron powder rings are firstly characterized by:

  • distributed air gap
