Ferrite toroids ST with 8 segments

Cores segmentFerroxcube manufactures special form of segment ferrite core ( ST 90/40/30- 3C90) which represents ferrite toroid R90*40*30, formed by 8 segments. The toroid made of such segments is characterized by a range of advantages due to several gaps and is inexpensive solution when winding the storage chokes for high-voltage application.

Segment core8 air gaps allow sufficciently reduce the value of equivavalent permiability.8 air gaps allow sufficiently reduce the value of equivalent permeability. In such a case several small air-gap fringing flux seems to be smaller in comparison with one big gap that makes application of this core more effective.

Segment toroids on the base of power materials like 3C90 are suitable for power electronics needs. Particularly such cores can be used in welding machines transformers.

Segment toroids can be a good solution for chokes used in power supply filters working at high bias current level, uninterruptible power systems and output filters. Segment core is suitable for working in both at direct-current component and peak current .

Structure of the ordering code

ST 90/40/30 - 3C90
ST — core configuration(segment toroid)
90/40/30 — core size (outer, inner diameters and core height in mm)
3C90— Ferrite material

unit of measurement — set of 8 segments.

You can ask our managers in order to get detailed information concerning segment toroids and opportunity for order .
