Powder Iron Ring Shaped Cores

Rings produced on the base of iron powder are widely used and produced with sizes 3,5...165 mm. Such Iron powder cores are produced under the pressure. The distributed gap fis being formed due to ferrum particles are separated from each other that provides high values of saturation induction of the powder material.

Despite the fact that the iron powder cores have value of losses (800mW/sm3 , (F=100kHz, B=0,05T)) and they can't compete with other classes of powder materials such as Kool M, MPP, High Flux, XFlux one important advantage of such cores should be mentioned. Due to the cheapness of a composition ( 100% Fe) iron powder cores are characterised by low price comparing to other powder materials. For choosing of powder material it is recommended to apply to the Magnetics materials row.

Example of designation in design documentation:

K52 R57,2*35,7*25,4 DT225-52B, where:

DT — ring shaped core
225 — core’s standard size
52 — powder material’s brand
